Patient Information

Chronic digestive problems can interfere with every aspect of an individual's life. If you have been suffering with the classic symptoms of digestive distress (pain, gas, diarrhea, etc.), you may choose to take one or more of our easy-to-use breath tests.

Test results can identify one or more conditions that could be causing your symptoms. The tests must be prescribed by a physician or other health care provider. After you have taken the test, your health care provider will receive the test results, and work with you to develop a treatment plan to address any conditions identified.

Breath Test Instrumentation

Commonwealth Laboratories enjoys a unique and long-standing relationship with QuinTron,, developer and exclusive manufacturer of the instrumentation used to process laboratory breath tests. Through our partnership with QuinTron, we have been able to remain in the forefront of providing breath testing analysis. We offer state-of-the-art instrumentation and testing expertise.

QuinTron has designed a test kit, Lac-Check, solely for the use of Commonwealth's referring physicians and their patients. The components are subjected to rigorous quality-control standards to provide highly accurate results. QuinTron's patented breath collection device is used to easily capture alveolar air. Evacuated collection tubes secure trace gas concentrations to insure the integrity of the sample. Our analysis process includes a correction factor for CO2 to further refine results and enhance accuracy levels.

We offer the following tests:
